Enjoy a great day of golf for a wonderful cause! Golfers can participate in the "Longest Drive," "Closest to the Pin," and "Hole in One" challenges for a chance to win amazing prizes. An awards ceremony will be held immediately after the tournament. Proceeds from the golf tournament will support scholarships for Prince George's County students attending Historically Black Colleges & Universities. This year's honored school is North Carolina A&T University.

The Battle of the Bands is one of the major highlights of the Classic Weekend and this year will be no different. Watch in awe as high school marching bands from Prince George's County, Baltimore, MD, and Washington, DC showcase their amazing musical talents through intense choreographed routines. Be entertained by radio personality DJ Rico as he "rocks the crowd" and serves as host of the Battle of the Bands. Special guest appearances by Bowie State University's "Symphony of Soul" and Lincoln University’s “Orange Crush Roaring Lions" Marching Band. Expect the Battle of the Bands to be the cornerstone of the Prince George's Classic Weekend!

5k Walk to Address the Health & Fitness Concerns of the African American Community

5K Walk Begins at 9AM
Due to traffic control, walkers will not be allowed to leave the starting point after 10AM
State Farm Insurance and the Prince George’s County Department of Parks & Recreation are proud to present the 50 Million Pound Challenge Walk during the Prince George's Classic Weekend. This 5k walk will allow the community to come together and address the health and fitness concerns of African Americans. Dr. Ian Smith, bestselling author and diet and fitness expert, will be in attendance for the walk. Some walkers will receive a FREE autographed book by Dr. Smith. Walkers will also receive the 50 Million Pound Challenge goodie bag. Prizes and giveaways will include a Nintendo Wii, GPS navigational system, personal training sessions, gym memberships and so much more. When the walk concludes there will be a health and wellness fair located at the center of Bowie's campus. We are encouraging our community, including churches, community centers, walking clubs, sororities, fraternities, colleges and universities to join us for a fantastic day of health and fitness in "Gorgeous Prince George's." PLEASE PRE-REGISTER FOR THE WALK HERE. You may register/join more than one Challenge team. All walkers should bring some form of identification.
PARKING: There will be a $5 fee to park on Bowie’s campus for the 50 Million Pound Challenge Walk.
Complementary parking will be provided by the M. Leo Storch Management Company at Hilltop Plaza Shopping Center, located at the intersection of Route 450 and Race Track Road, Bowie, Maryland. Parking is available behind the Outback Steakhouse. Shuttle bus service to and from the campus of Bowie State University will be available between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Presented by the Prince George's County Health Department, the Health & Wellness Fair is encouraging County residents to assume responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. The fair will feature free health screenings and exams, numerous health and wellness exhibitors, fitness instructors, healthcare experts, health and nutrition presentations, and information on disease awareness, prevention and management.

The Showcase is a very informative college fair representing more than 50 colleges and educational organizations from across the nation. Admission representatives will be available to discuss undergraduate programs, admission and financial aid requirements and the "college experience." There will also be a series of workshops on topics ranging from college planning, standardized test preparation and securing scholarships and financial aid. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing higher education.

The 5th Annual Prince George's Classic will be a historic match-up between two of the CIAA's competitive football programs – the Bulldogs of Bowie State University and the Roaring Lions of Lincoln University (PA). The close proximity of each school to Prince George's County coupled with the very strong alumni groups in the area will create an exhilarating atmosphere.
Don't miss the halftime show! Dance and sing along to the performances of Bowie State's "The Symphony of Soul" and Lincoln University's "Orange Crush Roaring Lions" Marching Band. This Classic tradition has become the highlight of the Classic football game.
PARKING: There will be a $5 fee to park on Bowie’s campus for the football game.
TAILGATING: Tailgating will be permitted between Parking Lots E & F
